The mission of the ALBURY WODONGA INDIAN AUSTRALIAN ASSOCIATION is to form a common bond among the people of Indian origin, foster and promote cultural and social interactions among people of Indian origin in Albury-Wodonga region and to promote cultural exchange between people of Indian origin and the other Australian people so as to enhance mutual understanding and goodwill.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                       


  • To promote understanding and appreciation of Indian culture and history either independently or jointly with other organisations.
  • To promote fraternity, mutual understanding and mateship between the members and the local community.
  • To help and advise new immigrants of Indian origin coming into Albury Wodonga region about housing, welfare supports and job opportunities.


  • To celebrate cultural functions for people of Indian origin in Albury Wodonga region.
  • To provide assistance to new arrival of Indian origin to settle in Albury Wodonga region.
  • To conduct trainings for the children and adults for programmes organised by AWIAA.
  • To represent Indian communities in programmes organised by Albury Wodonga councils/organisations.
  • To help in fund raising for local charities by way of donations or participating in programmes.
